Start Date: July 1, 2026

We are currently seeking warm and engaging Elementary Assistants to join our teams. The Elementary Assistants will collaborate with lead teachers to provide a warm, nurturing, and prepared Montessori environment. The Elementary program serves children ages 6 – 12. This role includes mentorship and abundant opportunities to learn from experienced Montessori teachers in a spirited, collegial environment.

This position operates on a 10-month school calendar year (mid-August through mid-June), with paid breaks during the school year. During the summer months, optional four-week summer camp employment opportunities are available.

This is a full-time, non-exempt (37.5 hours/week) position; Monday – Friday (7:30 am – 3:30 pm).

Key Responsibilities Include the Following:

  • Preparing and maintaining the classroom environment
  • Material making
  • Observation of students
  • Playground and lunch supervision
  • Periodically driving students to the library, pet store, and other local sites

Preferred Experience, Qualifications, and Attributes:

  • A collaborative and flexible approach to working with colleagues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to lift and carry 40 pounds
