About CFMS

CFMS strives to be accessible to families from all economic backgrounds. Unique among the region’s independent schools, the low tuition attracts families who otherwise wouldn’t consider private education. About 1/3 of our families receive need-based scholarships.Since it’s founding, CFMS has been committed to diversity and inclusion. Our students come from a wide range of socioeconomic, ethnic, religious, and racial backgrounds, and from various family structures. Currently, CFMS is proactively engaged in anti-bias/anti-racism work for students, parent, and staff as well as participating in Montessori for Social Justice. We are a POC and LGBTQIA friendly community. Our staff community is supportive and collegial. Our parent body is involved and engaged through a parent cooperative and ongoing parent education. CFMS enjoys proximity to the Washington Montessori Institute at Loyola which affords numerous opportunities for professional development and collaboration. Compensation includes health, retirement, and professional development. Visit our website at: www.cfmschool.org for a window into our world.
