At Mountain City Public Montessori, we’re growing our leadership team and building a leadership model rooted in collaboration, growth, and shared responsibility. We’re currently hiring leaders who want to support educators, strengthen student outcomes, and help shape a thriving public Montessori community.

Mountain City Public Montessori is seeking an Education Director to lead our instructional program and support a high-quality Montessori and standards-aligned academic experience for all students.

This role focuses on instructional leadership, educator growth, and academic strategy within a collaborative, shared leadership model.

Key Responsibilities
Lead schoolwide instructional quality and academic programming
Support educators through coaching, feedback, and professional development
Guide academic strategy, data use, and MTSS (academic supports)
Oversee testing systems and ensure state compliance
Supervise and support teaching staff

Qualifications
Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
• 5+ years teaching experience
• Experience coaching or supporting educators
• Understanding of Montessori philosophy and academic standards

Preferred:

• Master’s degree or NC licensure
• Leadership or instructional coaching experience
• Public Montessori experience
